Cort House is a grade 2 listed building situated in the Arkholme Village Conservation Area. Through demolition, extension, and internal remodelling this house has been truly transformed.
PROJECT INFO
The existing triple garage extension has been converted into a large open plan living kitchen. This is enhanced with a new modern single storey glazed extension which takes benefit of views to the rear garden. A new entrance hall has been created which improves circulation at ground floor level.
Further remodelling has been created at first floor level to create 4 generous bedrooms and bathroom accommodation. DBA worked closely with the Lancaster City Council Conservation Officer to deliver a scheme which met the clients’ requirements whilst maintaining the historic character of the listed building.
