Working in collaboration with Ben Cunliffe Architects, DBA Architects were appointed to assist in the preparation of revised proposals to the original planning application and detailed tender drawings for this bespoke residential development in the heart of the Lake District.

Nestled in the peaceful village of Underbarrow, the development consists of 3 bespoke contemporary eco homes. Each house boasts excellent thermal properties by using timber Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS) Construction along with triple glazing and air source heat pumps.

Externally, the dwellings are finished in materials which reflect the local vernacular. Local Lakeland stone has been married with white render and a more modest Millboard composite cladding, evocative of the original farm buildings that stood here previously.

Each detached dwelling boasts generous open plan living kitchens at ground floor level. Feature open tread staircases lead up to the first floor accommodation which offer 4 double bedrooms, 2 En Suites and a main house Bathroom.
